There are many little bits of information floating around the web that are either just incorrect or totally false.
On this page I will try to correct many of the errors that I have discovered, and to pass on bits of information that you may find interesting.
If you are aware that any of this information is wrong, please e-mail me.
Incorrect: The song "Drain" is dark and moody because at the time it was written, Yoshiki, was upset becuase of the band breaking up.
This is so wrong I don't even know where to begin.
1. Drain was written by hide and Toshi
2. Drain was released on the "Dahlia" Ablum.
Which was released in NOVEMBER OF 1996.
3. Toshi didn't leave the band until around the summer of 1997.
4. X-JAPAN broke up officially in SEPTEMBER OF 1997.
Where this rumor got started I'll never know.
Incorrect: Yoshiki and hide disliked each other and constantly argued
This is close to being correct. Yoshiki and hide quite often did argue in public.
Sometimes to the point were they would be yelling at each other.
When questioned about this, Yoshiki replied "That's how we work together".
This is something that cannot be argued for the two of them were very close.
At a press conference concerning hide's death, Yoshiki said that Hide was always the level headed member of the group that kept him (Yoshiki) in check.
He also said that Hide was like a older brother to him.
FYI: There are two versions of song TEARS, which was written by Yoshiki after his father commitied suicide.
Both songs have identical lyrics as well as music, the only difference is that about 1 minute after the last of the lyrics,
one fades out while the other has Yoshiki reading a poem for his dedicated to his father.
FYI: Yoshiki and hide planned to reunite in the year 2000
During the press conference concerning Hide's death, Yoshiki said that they (Yoshiki and Hide) had planned to reunite in the year 2000.
It is not known whether the others had planned to join them.
